Does higher rarity mean a brighter light?
Rarity is not a brightness rating. We have not verified a brightness increase from changing a lantern’s rarity, so this page does not rank illumination by item colour. Bottled Starlight, a torch and a lantern are different light sources; their listed value and rarity do not establish which lights a room better.
For packing, Bottled Starlight occupies 1×1 cells, weighs 0.5 and has 25 maximum durability; a torch occupies 1×3 cells, also weighs 0.5 and has 25 maximum durability. Durability is not a verified number of lighting minutes. A measured comparison of light range, brightness and duration is still missing.
