Map assistant
A work-in-progress companion for finding your way through Expedition: Into Darkness. This is an unfinished version, and development will continue.
Available now: Catacomb Ruins
Choose from five route targets: Four Maidens, Library, Library Center, Abbey and Masonry rope exit. Bring Rope or Fine Rope for the Masonry exit; it must be selected manually.
Routes are still being tested. Open doors and complete extraction interactions yourself, following the conditions shown in game.
Try the Windows version
V0.1.3 Preview 2 · Windows. Choose a language from the dropdown; the interface, map labels, door instructions and route messages follow your selection.
Download V0.1.3 Preview 2 for Windows
- Download and extract the ZIP. It contains one launch EXE and a resources folder; keep them together.
- Double-click ExpeditionMapAssistant.exe. There is no need to open anything inside resources.
- Select the game directory on first use, then follow the assistant's instructions to start a session. You can pause or stop from its window.
Select your Steam Demo folder on first use. The assistant remembers the folder you choose.
Example: allow access for this session, start the assistant, then select Library. A check mark identifies the selected exit.

Keys and exit supplies
The guide links keys to their doors, possible loot sources and quest rewards, and explains how to obtain exit supplies. Library crack and Statue Stair are not offered as route targets.
Then: a second map
Once this map is complete, we will begin work on the second map. It is not available in the assistant yet.
